Take Down Shark Nets!
Who likes dolphins, seals and turtles? Well they die from shark nets. 33,00 sharks, 2,000 dolphins and 2,000 turtles die each year from shark nets in South Africa. People need to respect sea life. Some people are scared of sharks so they kill them or don’t care about them, but sharks are great animals! Also, sometimes sharks get trapped inside and their only food is humans!
If you were walking down a street and someone threw a net on you and put you in water, that’s how a shark feels. Also shark nets prevent humans from getting out. Sharks kill less than 7 people each year but we kill more than 70 million sharks per year. They are not the killers, we are. Take down shark nets and put chain fences out so no sharks get trapped inside. And everyone is safe and not as many sharks die. Also, seals and turtles die from shark nets. So start by telling life guards and beach owners- sharks are not bad. So killing them is wrong. Don’t you get that? They have enough danger from people taking their fins.
So if they still don’t believe me, say that to this (picture). This is what we see in a shark net every day. What will you do to take down shark nets? We are in their territory; they have the right to attack us. But we stop them and kill them. That is bad - we should be happy with what we have. I don’t get why we have to kill them.
That was really persuasive, Sam! I really liked it. - Jaden p.s. I'm giving you a power point for persuasiveness.
ReplyDeleteIt made me sad to think about the sharks being killed in nets. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Your speech was very persuasive!!
